1949 Plymouth Convertible

The paint started out real nice, but there were severe scratches in 6 or 7 areas that just couldn't be ignored.

Many of the scratches were showing bare metal. One area on the right front fender had been pushed in and buckled by an unknown person prior to my ownership. Below are some photos of the process.

Black epoxy primer was used under the base coat.

On with the paint!! This is my buddy Troy, who did most of the work.

I helped, but mostly, I just got dirty!!

 

After the paint dried, we used 2000 grit paper and wet sanded the entire surface.

Then we buffed & buffed.....
