1949 Plymouth Convertible

The trick was getting it off the trailer without zooming right through the back wall of the garage.  No brakes, yet. Only steering. But a few anxious moments using a come-a-long, and there she is!

After close examination, I was very pleased with the overall condition of the body and floors. It sure is a big empty "tub" isn't it?. When my niece visited, she asked me if this was a boat! The wood grain dash was in excelent shape. Too bad the convertibles did not come stock with these. Not sure why this one was here. The original dash was included with all the spare parts. I ended up using the original. But it needed repainting.

(See the dashboard link)

Other than the woodgrain dash, the only thing in this car is the engine block. I didn't even know if the engine would turn over. Many parts had not been installed or were missing. What have I gotten myself into?
